Land Referencing Services

8th November 2019

Land Referencing is the foundation of many infrastructure projects and involves research into land ownership, rights over land and understanding the legislative guidelines.

Whether it’s early stage site viability assessment, DCO, CPO or TWAO, we offer a complete land referencing service and support for access licences, environmental assessments, planning applications, land registration, public inquiries and land acquisition.

At the centre of the development of any major scheme in the UK is the Book of Reference (BoR). The BoR provides a methodical display of the person/organisation directly affected by the project, either permanently as part of the scheme or temporarily as part of construction. The administration involved in researching and collating the data and information for the Book of Reference and notices is vast.

LRS have provided expert land referencing service for major projects in the UK, such as Lancashire County Council - Heysham to M6 (H2M6) DCO, CMA (Scotland), nuclear schemes, cable connections, rail, highway and rapid transit schemes.

We also deliver a wide-ranging consultancy services for all stages of the land referencing process. These tight work schedules emphasise the need for everyone to collaborate using the latest and most accurate data and systems.

Our service includes:

» Production of Schedules and Book of Reference.
» Production of Compulsory Purchase Order Plans.
» Generation and service of statutory notices such as Notices to Treat, Notices of Entry, Notices of Intention and General Vesting Declarations.
» Produce, affix and maintain site notices.
» Specialist consultations.
» An established team who can all be mobilised and co-ordinated very effectively.
