Sheaveshill Court Development – latest of Barnet’s regeneration projects completed
Regeneration
New images show the success of the regeneration project at Sheaveshill Court in North West London.
The 34 new homes were completed in December 2020, and are made up of 16 one bed flats (four of which are wheelchair accessible), eight two-bed flats and ten-three bedroom houses.
LRS provided Land Referencing Services on the project, where the existing estate previously contained 96 flats within 6 blocks bounded by the Edgware Road. The regeneration of the area used existing garages as well as pram stores and drying areas which were all under-used.
The project is one of many regeneration projects in the Barnet area, as part of the ‘Delivering for Barnet’ programme of regeneration and development of the area. The programme is delivering better places to live and work while protecting and enhancing the borough for generations to come.
Delivering For Barnet
The Barnet website states: “As part of the programme, we’re building more new homes than any other borough in outer London and helping to create thriving communities. We work closely with developers to make sure growth and development is managed responsibly and in areas that will be most enhanced by change.”
The London Borough of Barnet are investing £856.8m in transport, schools and facilities by 2025 and creating 30,000 new jobs. In addition, 27,000 new and replacement homes are being built for residents - the largest population of any London borough.
